College student Phil Palm has been at the wheel of a formula car since
he began racing in April, 1970. Beginning in Formula Ford, he
continued to race in that class until midway through the 1972 season,
when he switched to Formuia B. For 1973, Palm will continue racing
his F/B Brabham but will also be in a Surtees TS8 Formula 5000 car
which he purchased partially at an auction and partially through a
former Surtees race driver. Palm has almost completed his B.A.
degree at California State University at Fullerton.
