Out of nine Formula Super Vee Championship series races in 1972, Harry
Ingle finished eight and through consistent high placings of sixith or
better, including a win at Road Atlanta, he placed second in the
championship standings. He also competed in SCCA National races,
placing third in the Southeast Division's Super Vee points but was not a
finisher at the American Road Race of Champions, a repeat of his record
in 1971. Ingle did win the 1970 formula Vee National Championship and
was runner-up in the Super Vee Contest. He also competed in the '71 pro
SV series, racing since 1967 and until 1973 exclusively in Volkswagen-
powered cars, this year he'll be in a Formula 5000 car. 1968 was his first
in National racing and he won the division's F/Vee title and placed fifth at
the ARRC. He captured the divisional title again in 1969 and 1970.
