Hiroshi Fushida, a topflight Japanese driver qualified second fastest
last November in the international Fuji 200 for Canadian-American
Challenge Clip cars turning in the time only 1/100 second slower than
that of pole sitter Jackie Oliver, the well known Formula 1 star.
Fushida, who drove factory cars for Honda in 1965 and 1966, and for
Toyota from 1967 to1969, holds the outright lap records at the
Suzuke, Fuji, and Yamaha courses in Japan. The holder of 13 world
records in a Toyota 2000 GT, Fushida will be behind the wheel of the
Zeus Development Company’s Plymouth powered Eagle for 1970.
